Annapurna Base Camp (Sanctuary) trek takes you in the lap of this beautiful, majestic and magnificent mountain, Annapurna I (8,091m). The journey to this awe-inspiring scene starts with a short drive from Pokhara to Nayapul. From here we start the ascend traversing the Annapurna foothills through forested hillsides, terraced farm lands, passing Gurung and Thakali villages such as Ulleri and Ghorepani and along the way getting Nepal's magical and majestic vistas with a spectacular panoramic sunrise over the Annapurna ranges and Dhaulagiri from Poon Hill (3,910m). As we climb further into the alpine and more rugged area with glaciers the majestic mountains seems to be within touching distance. Upon reaching the Machhapuchare (Fishtail) Base Camp (3,700m) we will have only few hours uphill hike the next day to reach Annapurna Base Camp (4,030m). Early morning the sunrays heating the top of Annapurna I as it gradually illuminate turning the white top of the mountain into orange color is a memory that will last you a life time.
