Trip Overview
This trek is perfectly suited for families with children. Easy trails, not going high on altitude, just over a week in duration and less crowd compared to other areas of Annapurna region, makes it a perfect area to get children to be introduced to hiking in the laps of the Himalayas and a lovely family bonding. The accommodation in lodges are basic and one has an option of doing a camping trek too.
This trek offers you various species of bird along with gigantic views of Mountains which includes: Mount Fishtail, Mount Dhaulagiri and Annapurna Ranges. The trail offers variety of topographical structures varying from subtropical valleys of rice paddies to ridges and green thickets where rhododendron and other wildlife are found in abundance. Ethnic groups of Brahmin, Magar, and Gurung are found in this region and we will be passing through their village.
Our trek starts with a drive to Khare Khola and hiking for about 3 hours to reach our first camp site at at Bumdi village. From Bhumdi, ascend further passing through lovely forest and villages to reach Panchase Bhanjyang, our highest overnight camp site on the trek at 2030 meters. camp. The next day we hike to the hill for great views of the Himalayan ranges (weather permitting) and after leisurely breakfast start descending to our camp site at Bhadaure. The next day is a short hike to Naudara and we take the vehicle to the lake side city of Pokhara thus ending our short but memorable trek in the laps of the Himalayas
